    VBS 2009

Children took a thrilling ride across the land down under with LifeWay's Boomerang Express! Kids made their way across Australia and discovered the vastness of God's love, and they learned that no matter where they go or what they do in life-it all comes back to Jesus. VBS was held July 13 - 16.

    Fall Family Fun Night

Families had a great evening on September 26 on the EP campus where activities included dinner, outdoor movie, adult vollyball, bounce house and live bluegrass music. There were approximately 300 attending during the evening and 100 campers staying all night.

    Vacation Bible School

Outrigger's Paridise - Surf was up so kids grabed their surfboards and headed for the waves during VBS 2008. Kids learned how to know, speak, and live God's truth-aloha style. Based on Psalm 86:11, Outrigger Island was more than a tropical paradise. It's the place where kids developed the stability they need to face a world of shifting sands and wavering opinions. Our VBS was held on July 7th - 10th from 9am - 11am. Children returned on Sunday, July 13th and performed at both services.

Summer Camp 2008 @ Stetson University

Student Life for Kids Camp at Stetson University was outstanding! Camp dates were June 18 through June 21st. Children from 3rd through 6th grade enjoyed great worship, dramas, Bible study, sports and rec, swimming, college dorm life, and fun with their friends. Take a look at current and previous pictures.

    Do you know your ABCs
Knowing your sins are forgiven and you are ready for heaven is as simple as following these steps

A -- ADMIT that YOU are a sinner. Everyone has done things that are displeasing to a Holy God. Romans 3:23: "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" God tells us that no sin can enter heaven. Something must be done to get rid of your sin. Revelation 21:27: "And there shall in no wise enter into it (heaven) any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."

B -- BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for YOU. Jesus shed his blood to save YOU from YOUR sins. He took YOUR place on the cross, and suffered punishment for YOUR sin. 1 Peter 2:24: "Who His own self (Jesus) bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross) that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness." Colossians 1:14: "In Whom we have redemption (salvation) through His (Jesus') blood, even the forgiveness of sins." Acts 16:1: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."

C -- CONFESS your sinfulness to God, and turn from it. Tell God you're sorry for your sins and that you believe in Jesus and accept Him as your Savior from sin. This may be a simple but sincere cry from your heart, or it may be expressed out loud. Luke 18:13: "God be merciful to me a sinner." Romans 10:13: "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." When you do this (and mean it!) you are "saved." You, along with all the others who believe in Jesus, will spend eternity in heaven with Him.

If you have questions about the ABCs, talk to your parents or see your teacher at East Pointe.
